The fifth eArchiving Initiative training webinar examines the use of open-source tools in digital preservation. The webinar guided users through the processes needed to create archival-grade files within an E-ARK-conformant SIP (Submission Information Package).
Attendees are presented with mechanisms and techniques to identify files, convert and validate them, and are shown tools for creating the SIP package. All of which are crucial steps in creating truly conformant Information Packages (IPs).
