Putting the CITS content in the CSIP package

The Common Specification for Information Packages (CSIP) outlines the principles and requirements for the transfer of an information package. Information packages are filled with content that is defined by a Content Information Type Specification (CITS).

The session begins with a short but detailed insight into METS (the Metadata Encoding and Transmission Standard) and how it is used to create a package that adheres to the CSIP with its extensions to SIP/AIP/DIP. This is followed by an exploration of the different ways that standards are used to create a CITS that describes the content being placed in an information package.
